RSCAD is an integrated graphical environment for building, running, and analyzing real-time electromagnetic transient (EMT) simulations of electric power systems and power electronic converters on the RTDS Simulator platform. It offers drag-and-drop schematic capture with comprehensive component libraries and a runtime interface for real-time visualization, data logging, and parameter tuning. Engineers use RSCAD for hardware-in-the-loop testing and validation of protection schemes, control systems, and grid-connected devices, enabling studies of both normal and faulted behavior before deployment. Typical applications include HVDC/FACTS, renewable and microgrid integration, motor drives, and converter-rich networks.
RSCAD is developed by RTDS Technologies Inc.. The most popular versions of this product among our users are: 2.0, 3.0, 4.0, 5.0 and 5.3. The name of the program executable file is RSCAD.exe.
